Danny - Studying History [both rings]

Danny woke up late. Again. Waking up in a panic as he over slept his alarm for the second time this week, he hurried up and threw on some pants, a t-shirt, and some shoes to head off to class. Running out the front door of his apartment, he turned locked it, and took of jogging down the street for his class just a couple of blocks on the other side of the restaurants and bars that sit between the popular apartments and the university.

"Come on! Not today! Not today!" Danny huffed as he jogged. Being late for most classes was okay, but not when it is the mid-term for the mandatory "History of Human Sexuality" class for his History degree.

"Excuse me sir, do you have a few dollars to spare for a poor woman in need of food?"

That question shook him out of his thoughts.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention. What was that" Danny asked the elderly woman waiting next to him at the intersection.

"I'm sorry, I asked if you had a few dollars to spare, anything would be good" The weathered face asked him.

"Yeah, sure" Danny replied, pulling out his wallet and pulling out a ten dollar bill. "Here you go, it's all I have, but you seem to need it more than I do" as he handed it to the woman.

"Thank you so much young man." she said. "Oh, please take these two rings, they don't mean much to me. I don't even think they are really gold and silver. Please take them as a sign of gratitude" she insisted as she grabbed his hand, and thrust the two rings into his palm. "Oh, and do be sure to wear them on your left hand, it should bring you more good luck that way."

Danny took the rings, looked at them, and decided to listen to her and put the gold one on his left hand, and pocketed the other one.
